Vague sets a new High..

Generally when I start blogging, there is something specific in my head.

After fingering the key board with my insanely rich thoughts, I do my favorite part - "Title the Blog post"

This time I do not have anything particular running on my mind so -

if you don't want to waste next five minutes of your life - Stop reading. Immediately.

My think tank is overloaded and I hate it when i am distracted while creating my masterpiece post so

As the title says it all, it will be As vague as it gets!!!!

It is so so cold here in Gurgaon. I took a rick on my way back home. The rickshaw guy was wearing a long shawl which started to fly as he pulled and caught my attention. It was like being pulled in the rickshaw driven by a death eater. ( In Harry Potter movies) Was weird.

I fell sick due to weather changes and it fevered my whole new outlook on the life.

What I mean to say is, post coming back to Delhi after a good 45 days vacation I made a promise-

Take life in the best possible way you can.  Little things can bring greatest of joy.

- Like getting that exact pair of shoes you Always wanted.
- Cooking a dish recipe your way.
- Liking a song so much that it gives you goosebumps every time you hear it.
- Eating milkmaid.
- Accidentally clicking a very good picture and have that "I got photographer sense" feeling.
- Getting a job offer.
- Decorating your Room,
- Being cared
- Organized Work Station

The list is infinite. But while i was feeding items to this list it started to make me Happy and the new outlook of life got revitalized.

This is amazing. How you can be Happy and Sad in the blink of an eye. Happens with all of us.

What differentiates us depends on the amount of time we take to switch from one mode to another.

I read this somewhere. Given average life of 80 years and by the time we become old enough to have weekends. Say aged 24-25 years then we only have 4120 weekends left to ourselves.
( Don't come back for the math in this calculation- Its has a scientific approach behind)

When I thought about all the weekends i already have spent... the remaining got all the more precious.

Just like a doctor saying to a terminally ill patient - "You don't have much time left"

Which is true. Do you think you were born with an 80 year embossing on your forehead ?

We are so busy. Getting college degrees, that "package" Jobs, faking life on weekends and the cycle repeats.

Following the definite set of pattern to achieve what.. yet another patterned life?

Sure you'd make some money in the patterned approach and after years you can buy all the cream with that green.

I find it funny. People cruising in their Jags and Benz down to a posh gymnasium to work out their corrupt tummies. Why not run a mile instead ?  First Work for pay and then Pay for work.

It won't be about how much you got. It will always be about How much They got and who did better.
And its a never ending chase.

I wish people can be immune to what other people think or say. It would have been less fake.

Do what you like people. You are educated. You know what's right and wrong.

You don't need suggestion on your life decisions.

If it feels risky and is worth it- Go for it. The end.

It if seems wrong but you have a desire - Go for it and dare to bear the consequences.

You love it - Go for it - No second thoughts.

Whatever you are, whoever you are, you must live up to your potential..

You'll realize while you were busy stacking things for a happy life or accessorizing it....

Happiness was just a smile away !

Row your Boat

Staring at the blank page
still fingers on the key board
words trapped in a mind cage
This time she won't be restored

Hold back hold back
let it rest within the rucksack
once you wear it on your sleeve
gets impossible to retrieve

Just keep rowing your boat
Gently down the stream

Life is how you float
It is better than a dream..

Picture perfect

Little did she know
Of What was going to Follow
Little would she Ponder
trying to be Hollow

A time machine to return
To the sailing moments
How so fast they just run
leaving behind the memory scent.

None of them would have tried
Them things and labels, all denied
They never agreed to a motion
Pick up silly fights in tiny proportions
Maybe to set aside the thinking machine
or Maybe to hide that ghost of emotion

So they wish this past could be a future.
A time well spent, perfect like a picture.

Snap.

The Bride Series..

This is going to be about the girls who are since birth fed with the perception that they are here to get married and have babies.

Just to make this concept interesting, a dramatic series of events is premised which has become a phenomenon called the WEDDING.

Graduation Over, what next. Either you have a boyfriend or you will be "arranged with somebody's ex boy friend eventually.

If They are 'meant to be' they will be 'in a relationship' with "him/her"  for a staggeringly amount of time and it HAS to be made public on all social networking portals.

Other wise its not true love!     know what i mean. :|

Then after swamping their feelings on the internet with posts, pictures, hang outs, events, dedications etc  the much awaited day arrives when you are bound to get 100 plus likes and comments.

"Engaged to"  and then albums containing pictures of ceremony, families, kids, girlfriends, flowers gifts..

two months later we finally have a guaranteed 400 plus liker

" Married to"   " Him" on this day of  " wedding date" at " very expensive luxury resort"

Wedding albums may have a part 1 and part 2.  So many close ups and attires to cover!!

This would include Mehendi, Haldi, pre-bridal, Bridal shower, Faldaan, tilak, barat, kanyadaan, wedding games, the Feast, Reception, decoration Vidaai and WHAT Not !!

Make that 5 Albums please.

E N O U G H     ...  ??   not yet.   The best part is now about to steal the show.

Honey Moon !  The PDA sets a new high as they are now officially approved by the society.

Depending on the sponsorship of the Honey Moon, a destination is chosen.
Here you can see some "interesting pictures"  (wicked smile)

When the Honey moon sets we are now relieved to have our home pages back.

I sincerely did not miss any part of not having attended any girl friend's wedding.

But gone are the times when all these events were rather exclusive than being so explicit.

The Hahaha Therapy

It is said that the act of smiling has the power to subtly alter one's brain chemistry. Feelings of happiness have an even greater impact on the brain chemistry. The trick is to change your negative body language (frowning, slumping, clenching of the jaw, shoulders up to the ears) and replace it with positive, empowering, joyful actions. Simple things like acting silly, laughing, reciting affirmations and doing a few jumping jacks can change your state immediately. When you put a smile on your face, all of the muscles on your face respond. Your eyes brighten, facial muscles loosen and the brow becomes smooth and relaxed. Even your thoughts may change. The goal is to break your current, negative state by disrupting it with something that will "shock" your internal chemist into action. Here are a few things I suggest you try to jump-start your productivity by adding some positivity. I'm willing to try anything -

1. Smile at strangers. Step away from your stressful environment for a 20-minute walk. Smile at the people you meet along the way. You will more than make up for the time with your increased productivity levels when you return.
2. Bust a move. Put on some great dance music and have a little 5-minute party! That's right, just dance. You don't even need a partner!
3. Fire up the YouTubeFind a favorite funny video on YouTube and take a laughter break. Cute cat videos have been shown to help as well. (Not kidding.)
4. Talk to yourself. This sounds nuts, but take a cue from old-school motivational speakers and books: Pace around the room reciting empowering affirmations in a positive, confident tone of voice and great posture.
5. Belt it outSing to your animals or children--just be silly and let them in on the fun!
6. Get physical. Do a series of jumping jacks with a big smile on your face. (Bonus: 100 jumping jacks is said to burn 100 calories. Have a snack!)
7. Dial a friend. Pick up the phone and cheer up someone's day with an "I love you!"
8. Hoot and holler. Just let out a simple "woo-hoo!" and think about a goal or future event that really charges you up.
9. Do a Julie Andrews. Think of one or two things that you are deeply grateful for and allow the thoughts to bring a smile of gratitude to your face. (You should think of a few of your favorite things several times a day anyway!)

Nostalgic Move...

I am excited about the move in .
It will be a first move since we came to Delhi.
But I am really nervous too.

So many what ifs keep me awake. like a never ending drum roll.

The thoughts would keep tumbling in the head until the day arrived when we Shifted to the new place.

It was hassle free and everything went on smoothly. It had to, because dad was there throughout to help us.

Its amazing how having parents with you can make anything so simple and easy. What seemed like moving a mountain eventually was just like watching butter melt on a toast.

I still remember when I was little and times when mom went sick and it got me a bit worried as i am so dependent on her. But in those situations, Dad would manage everything apart from taking care of mom.

He would wake us up, get us dressed for school, make his special, salted crispy parathas and cup full of very light tea which shall be refilled ! Yummy..!  :)

The only concern was to do the braids.  But i miss those times, especially after years when you realize that Mom Dad never change... we kids do.
